I started this painting on a piece of blue velour that I had not used before. As it turned out, it was not a good grade of paper. As I started to put pastel down, problems began…the paper was scratchy and the pastel didn’t lay down well. On top of that, the browns I used looked pink!! Soooo….. rather than invest more time, I ditched it and began anew. Sometimes it is good to know when to quit. đŸ™‚
You can see in the first photo the background colors have been laid in. I used grey, blue and lavender with some brown mixed in as well. The second photo is a close up of the wolf. I have put the underneath layers in and next will start adding fur.
